Bought these to make repairs to computers in my repair shop. I was a little leery of them at first, but they do work very well. I would say there is a little bit of a learning curve. It can be a little tricky getting both wires positioned correctly. I used a heat gun to finish the connection. It is pretty neat to see the solder start to flow and the wrap shrink down to seal the connection. I did 4 connections on my first day while rebuilding a component on a Lenovo AiO, and each connection turned out perfectly.

This solder sleeve works exactly how it is described and kills two birds with one stone of soldering wire as well as sealing the connection. It is a huge time saver and a necessity for those that don't know how to solder properly.

Great product. Just used these for the first time and very pleased. Exactly as described. The transparent sleeve makes it easy to see if you have good overlap between the wires and, after heating, to see that the solder has flowed to encase both wires. After shrinking the ends over the wire insulation they appear to be watertight and to provide strain relief. No more soldering or crimping wires together only to realize I left off the shrink tubing. I have mentioned these to friends of mine and imagine a number of additional orders will roll in.

These are a great buy for those who have an old vehicle like my son just bought and is in need of electrical work. Inexpensive but they are waterproof fittings that will do exactly what they are designed for. Secure, water proof splicing of your outdoor wiring.

I like this kit for the cost. Nice assortment. I used this kit to wire control switch box, fuse box, lights, heat controls, etc. in my Tractor Cab. I thought the insulation on the wire end was excessive in length for my application, but can see that it would help in a job where you had more room to work.

Where have these been all my life!? It was so easy to splice the wires on my trailer. I used a propane torch being careful to let it heat the shrink wrap and not burn it. The solder ring started to disform a little right after the shrink wrap shrunk. Then it melted. It took a while longer than I expected to harden and I had to hold the wire still while it was cooling down. When it was done, the connection was perfect! Just strip a little, and I mean very little, wire. Push the two wires together from each end letting them overlap in the middle where the solder is. Heat and hold. You are done.

Man, I LOVE these connectors! Had to connect new turn signal socket assembly on my '88 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer, and these made it so easy without all the soldering mess, iron, solder, etc....all I used to melt the solder was the low side of a heat gun.....these are perfect for use in wet areas exposed to rain, snow, water on front of Jeep....so these did the job just great....and a great idea, too.

This is the first time I've used these. Installed lights on a boat trailer with them. Shrunk nicely around the wire. Seems like a great idea.

I used these connectors on wires to lights that I use for night fishing. After crimping the wires and heating the connector with a heat gun, the insulation on the connector sleeves shrinks on the wire and a sealant in the sleeve adds to the seal. I was surprised how good the seal appears to be.
